Why Cutting Calories And Doing Cardio Does Not Work

Well, it might work for the short term.

Stay with me here.

 At first you started to lose weight. Then you hit a plateau so you’ve upped your cardio and you cut more calories which kicked things into gear again and you thought GREAT! it’s working!!

 Then you hit another plateau.. And you cut your food again and upped your cardio one more time..Repeat. But eventually that stops working..

 Where do you go from there?

Now you are ridiculously hungry because your calories are so low.. Or you have cut out all of your carbs and everything is suffering.

 You can’t lift as heavy because you feel weak and tired.

 Your personal relationships are strained because you are starving yourself and let’s be honest here, you’re probably not a joy to be around.

 You have no social life because you can’t eat anything out of the house.

 AND you’re doing a ridiculous amount of cardio that you won’t be able to keep up after a month or two… Certainly not for the rest of your life.

 And when you stop all of this? You start to gain weight…

 

Why??

Homeostasis. The human body is very very intelligent and it wants to keep everything balanced and comfortable.

 You need to understand your body and how it works in order to work with it and make it do the things you want it to do.

 That includes eating enough, progressive overload and the right amounts of cardio when the time comes. The process is not quick. There is no special pill or tea.

 And it will not happen overnight.

I teach my clients how to do it RIGHT. I give them the tools they need to eventually be able to do this on their own.
