Why Self Love Is Paramount For Your Progress

Valentines Day was this week, and everyone talks about loving their partner. But very few people discuss loving themselves and how pertinent it is.

It took me a long long time to figure this out.

And when I say a long time I mean YEARS.

 

Around the time I started working out, I had also just started modeling. And I figured with the perfect body, everyone would like me.

 

I was wrong.

I wasn’t taking care of myself. I was thinking about how to get validation from others and no matter how good I looked, I was miserable.

 

Fast forward 5-6 years. My training and conditioning program is completely wrapped up in self-love.

 

I have set daily rituals for myself to ensure I am taken care of.

I read every night for 30 minutes

I leave all electronic devices about an hour prior to going to bed

I preplan all of my meals for the next day

I make sure to give my body enough quality sleep so that it can repair itself.

In the morning I wake up and meditate

I sit outside while I have my coffee and I write every morning.

 

These rituals set me up for success and keep my soul fed and happy. I have seen amazing changes in my mind and body since implementing them. Not only am I able to rain harder as my mind is stronger, I am able to focus better during my day and I am more productive.

I teach all of my clients at Balanced Bodies about daily rituals that they can implement to help the reach their goals. I teach them self-love and keep them accountable.
